So Sunday night I'm thinking about everything that we're doing this week. All of a sudden I remember I have jury duty! TOMORROW! Lucky me! :) So I call to find out what time I have to be there and the recording said to report by 8:15 am and expect to be there until 5:00 pm! What the crap! So I brought along a few things to read. I know...the US magazine? It just couldn't be helped. When I got called in with a group of people they asked who would be available for a 6 WEEK trial! I think 3 out of the 50 stayed in the courtroom. I'm glad that day is over. Oh and I didn't really read the "Photography for Dummies" book. :o)

SENIOR SESSION!
We usually travel to New Mexico for weddings and shoots. While we were there for a wedding we were able to do Gary's senior session. It's always great to shoot in a new location. Here are a few images from Gary's senior session.

Check out that ring! It actually had diamonds.

Chris and I had fun hanging out with Donavan and Rebecca at their engagement shoot. And we're really excited about their wedding in a couple of weeks!

BUSY, BIZZY, BIZ-Z!!!
I think we're the worst when it comes to blog updates. It's always "we'll put something up after We finish this" then......blah. So our AC went out and it took them 7 DAYS to replace the darned thing. Did we stay home? NO. Did We get our Work done? NO. Were we happy about the stockpile? NO. Are we just a little bit behind?........Warning: If you like our work and would like to hire us don't read the next few lines.

few lines:
yes we're behind!!! but only by 2 weeks and we should be all caught up by the end of this week. Seniors(not old people) its okay we're actually pretty fast with our portrait sessions. No offense if you're over the age of 65.

So just before our life altering catostrophe (NO A/C in Phoenix) We had the exclusive honor of capturing an amazing traditional Navajo wedding. OMG!!!! I get all giddy when I think about it. The ceremony took place in beautiful Page, Arizona. Our Bride and Groom designed and built a breathtaking Hogan for their ceremony. What's a Hogan you ask.....It's pronounced HO-gone and its a traditional Navajo home the equivalent of a tee-pee. I could go into more detail but then I would take away the need to watch PBS. So Anyway Our groom rides into the ceremony on horses accompanied by his groomsmen, bringing his bride's family offerings for their marriage!!!! A--MAZE-ZING!!! And all we can do is stand there our with jaws on the floor....while we were shooting of course. Sooo check out these fabulous images and their slideshow!!!

NO AC!!!

HOLY RUSTED METAL!!! Imagine a day without AC in the middle of the summer in Phoenix, Az then you might be able to imagine what we're going through right now.....OMG!!! The AC compressor broke a couple days ago and blam the AC repair guys tell us its going to be a couple more days before they can fix it, something about them being backed up!!! Needless to say we tried to be very nice and positive about the situation, but its too darn hot!! So we lost our cool, literally! We haven't been in our house during the daylight hours, instead we've been out running errands and keeping Treston cool. Blah! We're praying for rain again. Or a snow storm. Funny thing....Fans don't really keep you cool in PHX they just help the hot air get to you faster.

So I was going thru our point and shoot camera and I thought this was such a great photo of my nephew! He's such a character. They got their halloween costumes early from their grandma so we wanted to check to see if they would fit or if we needed to get a bigger size for room to grow because Halloween isn't for another 2 months! I'm not sure why my mom bought them so early. I think its just an excuse to buy them something.

Chris and I headed to New Mexico for some shoots that we had scheduled. We had a great time. It was all work and play because it happened to be our ten year class reunion! Chris wasn't really up for attending the reunion but I told him he was going and he was going to have fun! It was nice to see some old friends. Here are a couple of pics.

It always bothered us when people when would say, "you must have such great photos of Treston!" Granted we're always snapping photos of him but we hardly take the time to really photograph him. So we spent the day with our favorite model. Here are a few of his completed photos.

I love this image. Treston loves taking his dads glasses off and putting it on himself, and he gets this huge smile everytime he puts it on. "Look dad, I'm a nerd just like you" ha ha!

This is his favorite toy because it just keeps on laughing. I think this one of the rare photos that I caught him looking at the camera and it was only for a few seconds.

I love the Gap. They have the cutest clothes. Calvin Klein eat your heart out.

We love the simplicity of this image.

Treston is a true explorer. blah! Look out octopus roots...run Treston!

Chris and I did a commercial shoot for a graphic design company called Cortez Visual Communications. Steve, the owner was designing an ad for the official MLB Hat Club which came out awesome! Here's his finished design. We decided to hire Amanda, a senior that we had shot before. She worked great with us before so we decided to hire her for this ad. Great job Amanda!

We were getting requests to do childrens portraits. So we finally gave in and did one. Here are a few of Trevon's 3 months photos. He's so cute!
